Dr. Rachael Stohrer, DC in Symmetry Health Center
Being involved in two life altering car accidents, she was first introduced to chiropractic at the tender age of 4. Some of her fondest memories are of her being treated by her family chiropractor in Marlton, New Jersey.
After a drunk driver hit her car head on, at age 17, she was unable to continue with gymnastics. Her chiropractor was able to gradually bring her back to a state of functioning and health. It was at that time, she became even more interested in researching natural ways to heal the body and mind.
Studying Exercise Physiology at James Madison University in Virginia, Dr. Stohrer explored all the wonders that the human body has to offer. After graduating from JMU, she worked as personal trainer, not only furthering her understanding, but also piquing her curiosity of how the systems in the body function together.
At Life Chiropractic College West, she was open to many different chiropractic techniques and attended numerous seminars to further explore her options and expand her knowledge base. She also became well acquainted with the philosophy of chiropractic, in that, each person has the tools needed to heal from the inside, as long as there is proper communication between the nervous system/brain and the rest of the body. And as a chiropractor, her job is to care for the structure of the spine so that it can continue to protect the spinal cord and nerves that connect the brain to our vital organs and muscle systems.
In practice, Dr. Stohrer gained her knowledge and clinical experience in utilizing the principles of Chiropractic BioPhysics in a flourishing office near Sacramento. She embraces the fact that learning is never truly finished and to stay up to date on the treatment of spinal issues and emerging techniques, she will attend many upcoming seminars and workshops.
Knowing the level of care provided at Symmetry Health Center, Dr. Stohrer is more than excited to be part of the team! She is looking forward to immersing herself in these new surroundings and motivating those in her community to live better, more enriched lives by taking hold of their own well being and the decisions they make regarding their health.
